Switch WedgeHR Accounts with the Extension

If you use Wedge for more than one account (for example, a main hiring account and a partner account like VolunteerMatters), your Extension needs to be connected to the right one before you send invites.

Good news: Wedge detects when your Extension is connected to a different account and makes it easy to switch.

How It Works

Your Wedge Extension connects to one account at a time. When you log into a different Wedge account, the Extension page will let you know if it is currently connected somewhere else.

You will see a message that says your Extension is connected to a different account. From there, you can reconnect it to the account you are currently logged into.

How to Switch Accounts

  1. Log into the Wedge account you want to use.
  2. Go to your Extension connection page. You can get there by visiting wedge.link/extension.
  3. If your Extension is connected to a different account, you will see a notice letting you know.
  4. Click Connect Extension to reconnect it to your current account.
  5. Confirm the connection when prompted.
  6. You will see a success confirmation once the Extension is connected to the right account.

That's it. Your Extension is now linked to the account you are working in, and any invites you send will go through that account.

When You Need to Switch Back

Just repeat the same steps from the other account. Log in, visit the Extension connection page, and reconnect.

There is no limit to how often you can switch. The Extension simply connects to whichever account you last confirmed.

Tips for Managing Multiple Accounts

Before sending invites, double check which account your Extension is connected to. This is especially important if you regularly switch between accounts. A quick visit to the Extension connection page will confirm where your Extension is pointed.

You only need one Extension installed. You do not need separate extensions for each account. The same Chrome or Edge Extension works across all of your Wedge accounts. Just reconnect it when you switch.

If you see a "connected to a different account" message, that is normal. It just means your Extension is still linked to the last account you used. Reconnect it and you are good to go.

What Happens If I Send Invites on the Wrong Account?

If your Extension is connected to Account A but you meant to send invites from Account B, those invites will be tied to Account A. The candidates and their responses will show up in Account A, not Account B.

If this happens, switch your Extension to the correct account and resend the invites from there. Additionally, you may want to login to Account A to cancel the incorrect Invite so that the candidate doesn't have multiple interviews to record.

Next Step

Once your Extension is connected to the right account, you are ready to start inviting candidates.
